Each team tried its best to accumulate the three pints that a win of a football match brings, but how ever they successively attacked on each other’s goal none of them had the chance to score a goal.
SITT was struggling to win so that it could take the lead of the championship over Elman, while Banaadir for its part was committed to success so that it may enter in the second stage of the championship with SITT, but all attempts ended in smoke.
Now Elman and SITT are jointly leading the championship with 27 points each, while Banaadir is next with 24 points and the police club ‘Heegan’ is in the third place with 23 points.
Each of these two teams will have to play one match before the tournament ends on the 26th of April.
Today’s match attracted thousands of fans and high level dignitaries including Somali deputy minister for youth and sports Ali Afgoye, Somali NOC president Aden Hajji Yeberow, Somali Football Federation president Said Mahmoud Nur, his deputies Ali Said Guled and Abdullahi Abow Hussen.
The match was officiated by former international referee Abdi Abdulle Ahmed, assisted by Bashir Shire Bootaan and Qasim Sheik Mahmoud, while Mohamed Abokar was the fourth official and former international referee Aweys Ahmed JImaale as the match commissioner.
