Elman FC, one of the strongest Football clubs in Somalia has on Wednesday suffered unexpected defeat during a very competitive clash against the Somali Military club ‘Horseed’ who won its Elman rivals by 2-1.

The unexpected failure was the second of its kind that the strong club meets in less than a week. ON Friday the Somali police-owned club ‘Heegan gave Elman a 2-0 defeat, although it is still leading the first division championship with a single point.

Today Elman wanted to win and go forward with four points ahead its next team, but unfortunately that didn’t happen and instead Elman left the stadium with a defeat that was described as ‘humiliation’.

In the 13^th minute of the first half of the match Horseed celebrated its first goal which was from a penalty kick scored by Abdi John, the oldest man playing in the championship.

Elman tried their best and launched more attacks against the opposite goal and in the 36^th minute of the match Sa’ad Saleh Hussein punt into Horseed’s goal and that revived the sprit of Elman boys.

How ever about only three minutes before the end of the match which coincided with the 87^th minute of the match Horseed’s striker and the youngest man in the competition Abdulkadir Mohiyadin scored a beautiful goal and the game ended in 2-1 in favor of the military club.

According to the schedules, the tournament is due to end on 26^th of April and Elman will have to play two games against Dekedda on April18 and the second against Banaadir Telecom on April 21^st.

Elma who once led the competition with 7 points ahead its next team is now leading with a single point, while SITT is in the second stage with 26 points and the defending champions Banaadir Telecom with 23 points and each of the three teams will have to play two games before the tournament ends.
