Somalia’s soccer championship 1st leg ends

The first leg of Somalia’s 2010-2011 division one football championship has come to an end with Supper Shell drawing with Horseed in the last match of the first round on Thursday afternoon.


Although the Military club ‘Horseed’ lead the match with two goals to nothing in the early minutes of the game and its fans were hopeful of accumulating the three points that a win of football game brings—then the match ended in 2-2 draw.

 

In the 3rd minute of the first half Horseed’s Mahmoud Abdullahi Mohyadin put into the opposite goal while in the 22nd minute Horseed gained its second goal scored by Abdi Aziz Mohamed Atoosh.

 

A little while before the end of the first half Mohamed Abdullahi Abooki scored a goal for his Supper Shell team, the goal was from penalty kick, while in the 83rd minute of the match supper Shell celebrated its second goal which was scored by Mahdi Ahmed Sheik.

 

According to Somali Football Federation deputy secretary General Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud, the 2nd leg of the championship will commence in Mogadishu on 18th of March.
