Heegan defeats Savana by 3-1

The Somali Police-owned Club ‘Heegan’ won over its Savana rivals by 3-1 during the 20th match of Somalia’s first division football championship on Thursday afternoon. As usual the match took place at a football facility in the Somali Political Science University.


In the 18thminute of the first half of the match Heegan’s striker Mahad Mohamed Ahmed scored the first goal for his team and the first half ended in 1-0 with Heegan leading the match.

But in the 1st minute of the second half, Aweys Abdullaahi Kediye scored the lone goal for his lost team making the match 1-1. How ever Heegan’s strikers Deeq Abdullaahi Nur and Osman Mohamed Aweys scored the 2nd and the 3rd goals in the 50th and 85th minutes of the match.

Heegan is now in the third place of the tournament with ten points, while the Daalo Airlines-owned SITT is in the second place with 12 points as Elman is leading with 15 points.
