The training course took place at the National Technical
centre here in Djibouti and was conducted by Mohamed Omar Ali and Omar Mahfoud
Awad, while CAF expert Bedan Makonnen (Ethiopia) took the final examination on
Tuesday and then awarded the coaches with their certificates.
In his address at the closing ceremony on Tuesday Mr. Bedan
Makonnen praised the Djiboutian coaches for their quality and commitment to the
game.
"I conducted a lot of courses in many different
countries, but I can say that these Djiboutian coaches are very fantastic and
fully talented” the CAF expert said adding that the organization made by the
Djibouti Football Federation to host such course was very professional and
unprecedented.
Djibouti Football federation President Souleiman Hassan
Waberi told the closing ceremony that it was a very wonderful experience that
the FDF under his leadership successfully carried out about 60% of what he
pledged to do during his campaign for the presidency just 18 months ago.
"Djibouti had never had CAF licence courses, now we have
done CAF licence C and licence B, so what is left for us is the licence A and I
do announce here in front of you that we will do it next year” president
Souleiman Hassan Waberi told the closing ceremony.
Since the young age president came to power on 10thof November 2012 a number of development programs were achieved in Djibouti;
namely the creation of first ever beach soccer tournament in the country, the
revival of women’s football league, the organization of the country’s first
ever FIFA grassroots course, making life insurance for the entire football
volunteers in the country and as well as the implementation of the first
