Due to the possible second round of elections in Costa Rica, the final of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup will be brought forward one day. The match for third place as well as the final will now be played on Friday 4 April instead of Saturday 5 April 2014.

The Local Organising Committee has informed FIFA about the possible round of elections and about the requirements of the democratic electoral processes of the Costa Rican Government, which forbid the organisation of major public events in the 24 hours preceding the elections, including football matches.

Considering these circumstances and in order to ensure the smooth planning and execution of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, the FIFA Executive Committee has decided to reschedule the date of the final matches of the tournament.
