Djibouti hosts FIFA Futuro III course for Franco-African nations

Some 45 technical and physical referee instructors from 12 French-speaking African countries are taking part in FIFA Futuro III instructor referee courses which launched in the horn of African country of Djibouti.


As part of its global refereeing development programs, the courses were organized by the world football governing body FIFA in collaboration with hosts, the Djibouti Football Federation (FDF) according to President Souleiman Hassan Waberi who addressed at the opening ceremony on Wednesday.

Launched at the Sheraton hotel in Djibouti the high profile courses gathered some 45 participants (31 technical instructors and 14 physical instructors) as each group will be studying at a different course until the end date the 2nd of December 2013. According to Djibouti Football federation president Mr souleiman Hassan Waberi, the event was the biggest of its kind ever held in the horn of African football growing nation of Djibouti.



Secretary General of Djibouti ministry of sports Mr. Gohar Hamadou Thanked FIFA for allowing the Djibouti FA to host such international courses. He praised the FDF authorities for the efforts to promote football in the country.


Representatives from FIFA and CAF Fernando Tresaco (FIFA) and Essan Siam who addressed at the launching ceremony praised Djibouti’s preparations and the high level hospitality to host the international level courses.


FIFA instructors Hadga and Lim are teaching at the technical course while, Boubakar Hannachi and Mbengue are conducting at the physical course as well as Mr. Magassa Sidibe from FIFA referees development office in Abidjan is coordinating at the FIFA level events.
