SFF secretary General discharged from hospital

The Somali Football Federation secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab who was slightly injured in Tuesday’s suicide attack which rocked Somali capital Mogadishu has been discharged from hospital on Thursday evening, SFF statement revealed here on Friday.


Somali Football Federation said in a press statement issued here on Friday that the Secretary General was in a good healthy condition and was getting rest at his home in
Mogadishu.

“His injury was slight and he is now out of hospital, praise be to Allah—we hope other wounded people at hospitals to recover soon” the Somali Football Federation said in its press statement on Friday.

The SFF sent a particular thanks to the doctors and nurses at Madina Hospital in Mogadishu who paid much time and energy in the secretary general’s treatment.

Top Somali Football Federation officials including the president were in a meeting at the Sahafi hotel in Mogadishu with representatives fro the Galmudug regional state disusing with them on some football development courses to be held in the region when a suicide bomber driving a lorry full of explosives blew himself up in the front gate of Somali education ministry compound on Tuesday.

Hundreds of students were waiting for their results for their examination of Turkish scholarship at the time of the attack. Scores of them died on the spot.
