Elman FC and national team striker Abdi Aziz Mohamed Ali popularly known as ‘Hoomey’ has proceeded for ward in terms of the goal scoring contest of the ongoing Somali Football division one championship.

The striker is now with 9 goals after he scored two goals during Elman-Mogadishu port clash on Monday, while the next man running after him is Abdulkadir Mohiyadin who has five goals.

 

Many football fans termed him as {Messi in Somalia} and that is because of his goal scoring in every match he plays. “I am very hopeful to be the top scorer of the competition—the first leg is about to end and I am 4 goals ahead my nearest competitor so I have high hopes” Abdi Aziz told reporters after the end of Monday’s match.

 

Somali Football Federation has pledged prize money and other valuable awards for the top goal scorer of the championship while the winning team will be given the largest ever trophy to be seen in Somalia and $US 5000
