English referee Howard Webb has been appointed to handle the 2010 World Cup final match pitting the Netherlands against Spain on Sunday at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg.

Webb will be assisted by his compatriots Darren Cann and Michael Mullarkey.

Prior to that, Mexico’s Benito Archundia will referee the third place play-off on Saturday at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, between Uruguay and Germany.

Canada’s Vergani Hector and Mexcio’s Torrent Marvin will assist Archundia.
