The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Mr. Issa Hayatou has sent a letter of excitement and warmest congratulations to Somali Football Federation president Abdiqani Said Arab, saying that the African football will also benefit from Abdiqani's experience and pledged the continental football body's support for him.

"It is with great joy and excitement that I learned about your election as the president of Somali Football Federation following elections held few days ago in Somalia” CAF president said in his letter which the SFF received with huge joy on Friday.

On behalf of the CAF executive committee and the entire African Football Family Mr. Hayatou offered the SFF president the warmest congratulations for his election as president of Somali FA, providing the perfect avenue to steer national football to new heights.

"Despite the extremely difficult challenges facing Somalia today, CAF is indeed confident that your experience as Secretary General of SFF and as member of CAF standing committees will benefit not only Somalia football but also African football as a whole. We look forward to cement our partnership and exchanges in order to benefit the youth of our beloved continent” President Issa Hayatou said in his letter.

"We wish you a very successful tenure in your position and rest assured that you can count on the support of the confederation of African Football to achieve a very successful mission” CAF president said in his congratulatory letter.
