Somali national football federation has launched a sophisticated and bilingual website as part of the progressive steps recently taken by the federation which has been working in a war-ravaged country for last 18 years.

 

A well organized ceremony to mark on the launching of this website www.somsoccer.com was held at the Somali NOC headquarters late on Saturday in the presence of presidents and general secretaries of Somali national sporting federations.

 

President of the Somali football federation Said Mr. Mahmoud Nur said that the main point of the establishment of this website is to present the daily news, comments and interviews about football activities in Somalia.

 

“Somali football federation is member of International, continental and regional football organizations and we want them to have a regular information center from where they can easily know how something is going on here in Somalia” the Somali football federation president his highness Said Mahmoud Nur told at yesterday’s ceremony to mark on the launching of Somali football federation’s new bilingual Somali-English website.

 

“The website will broad cast in both languages similarly so that Somalis and none Somalis may have access to visit it and know how well Somali football is developing” the president added.
