A Somali Football fan has been seriously wounded and today’s football match was forced to halt after a heavy fighting broke out about a kilometer from the Somali political university Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

The match between
Mogadishu port ‘Dekedda’ and Savana was halted in the 54th minute of the second half as the fierce fighting erupted between Al-shabab militants and Somali government forces in an area about a kilometer from the stadium and a stray bullet seriously wounded one of the fans.

When stray bullets and mortars started to round in and outside the stadium, every fan run toward his front and the stadium suddenly became empty with some of the players running from their shoes.

Within a minute there was no one at the stadium and the last things I saw on field were only a ball and some shoes.

How ever the Somali Football Federation declared that the Savana-Mogadishu port clash will be held on Friday after the first leg of the championship ends on Thursday according to the schedules.
