Elman crashes Supper Shell by 4-1

Elman FC, a powerful football club in Somalia’s supreme soccer league on Tuesday gave a 4-1 humiliation to its rivals from Supper Shell FC who themselves exhibited an unexpected performance in accordance with how they struggled against Elman.

Elman celebrated its first goal when the popular striker Abdi Aziz Mohamed Ali put into the opposite goal in the 25th minute of the 1st half of Tuesday’s hotly contested match. The same striker signed the second goal for his Elman FC in the 26th minute.

But Supper Shell’s Khalid Ahmed Mohamed scored the lone goal for his team in the 34th minute, approximately 11 minutes before the end of the first half, but 5 minutes later coinciding with the 39th minute Elman’s Abdullahi Mohamed Osman made the game 3-1 where the first half ended with Elman having the lead.


When the second half started, both teams stepped up attacking on each other’s goal, but Supper Shell boys were not successful to grow from the lone goal, while Abdi Aziz Mohamed Ali from Elman and also a national team striker scored the fourth goal for his team.

Tuesday’s match attracted many high profile dignitaries including Somali Football federation President Said Mahmoud Nur and Secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab.

As shown in the fixtures of Somalia’s 2010-2011 first division soccer championship, Wednesday will be a rest day, but on Thursday the Daalo Airlines-owned football club ‘SITT’ will encounter Mogadishu port’s FC.

In today’s match only one caution was given to one of Supper Shell players as shown below.
