The team’s coach Mohamed Abdulle Farayare gave the minister full details about his preparations and how the young men have been training since June the 2nd when they commenced their daily exercises.
“Mr. Minister here I have a 23-member squad I can confirm to you that SFF is doing much to provide the team with all it can and your visit is giving us a huge moral support” the Somali U-17 football team coach Mohamed Abdulle Farayare told the visiting minister
“I know you are all displaced from your homes and also from your training base, I know that because of this hardest situation you do not have all you need, but know that being in such difficulty is giving you much experience and will lead you to be stronger than your ages” the minister told the team members.
“I praise Somali football federation, because I did not think that such hard work can be done in this most difficulty situation and I hope that you will once reach your target” the minister encouraged the young boys.
The minister also met with members of the Somali police club football Team and thanked the club’s president Ali Abdi Mohamed (Shiine) for helping the national team with a compound to train after fleeing from their former base.
“I am very happy to be the first Somali minister to meet with you after Heegan’s football team reformation” the minister told the team members who welcomed his speech with happiness and laughter.
Finally the minister’s delegation including SFF president and his deputy Said Mahmoud Nur and Ali Said Guled went a nearby compound and met with young boys aged from eight to thirteen years who are being bred in football.
