Somalia resumes football activities as three days of national mourning ends

Somali Football Federation, has on Monday May 31 2021, resumed all football activities after the end of a 3-day national mourning for the late legendary football administrator, Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud.

On Monday, Dekedda Sports Club, shared points with Elman FC after a 1-1 draw at Mogadishu Stadium, as the duo fought in their second leg encounter in the Somali Premier League.

At the national technical centre facility, Sahafi FC beat Gantaalaha Afgooye FC 1-0. In both stadiums, players, officials and football fans mourned for the legendary football administrator, Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud, who died in Mogadishu last Thursday night.

Meanwhile, Somali Football Federation, will organize a prayer session for the late SFF official, according to Yahye Mohamed Abukar, who chairs the committee in charge of the funeral and mourning services for the deceased football administrator and former FIFA referee.
