The President of the confederation of African Football (CAF) Mr Issa Hayatou has expressed sadness at the news of the death of a child who died following a landmine explosion at an open ground in Somalia's Balanbale town where children were playing football on Monday (26 May 2014).

A child has died and two others were seriously injured after an old landmine exploded as they were playing football in the town of Balanbale on Monday morning, Somali Football Federation revealed here in a press statement.
