Somali football coaches attend training workshop.

At least 28 Somali national football coaches from different regions have on Monday sat for a week-long training workshop which is being held at the conference hall of Somali football federation head quarters in the capital Mogadishu.

President of Somali football federation Said Mahmoud Nur who addressed at the opening ceremony of the seminar said that SFF is doing its utmost to boost the coaching skills so that the federation’s target of developing Somali football can be approached.

“We have recently opened football training centers in the country so that the federation has decided to give the coaches an additional training to encourage them to happily accomplish the national duty which they are currently doing” the SFF president added.

The president stated that before the end of the year Somali football federation will as scheduled hold different training workshops, including Training for Somali football writers, football administrative training and healthy training course which will be attended by doctors and nurses who work with the Somali football federation.

SFF deputy president Ahmed Nur Abduulle described the coaches as the main roots on which the Somali football federation is standing for the continuation of its duty.

“I praise our hard-working coaches whom we can say have devoted their time and power to develop the Somali football” SFF deputy president Ahmed Nur Abdulle told the opening ceremony of the training workshop for Somali football coaches.

The recently elected president of Somali National Olympic committee Aden Hajji Yabarow who was honorably welcomed to open the training course urged the other national sporting federations to do as much a the football federation is doing so that the past wounds can be healed so quickly.
