In a press statement Somali football federation on Saturday sent a condolence with a big grievance to all Somali people and in particular to Somalia’s sporting family over Friday’s sorrowful deaths of Somali basketball coaches Omar Mohamed Omar affectionately known as Anyeelo and Ibrahim Jumaale Abdi (buruko).

The two sporting experts died late yesterday and last night in different car accidents in UK and Finland.

 

“We are expressing our grieve condolence to all Somalis and particularly to the nation’s sporting colleagues over the unexpected deaths of our beloved colleagues Ibrahim Jumaale Abdi and Omar Mohamed Omar Anyeelo and we pray them to God for mercy and rest their lives in the Paradise of Fardowsa” said in a press statement from Somali football federation press department on Saturday.

 

The late Ibrahim Jumaale Abdi (buruko).had coached Somali national basketball squad from 1983 to 1988, while Omar Mohamed Omar popularly known as Anyeelo has been the Somali national basketball coach since 2007.

 

Both men had helped Somali basketball federation to exceeding develop and their remembrance will always remain in the minds of Somali sports-loving people.
