The 2008/09 Serie A season promises to be one of the most exciting in recent years. Five teams are realistically in with a chance of winning the Scudetto, while some superstar names, most notably Jose Mourinho and Ronaldinho, have arrived in the peninsula to spice up proceedings.
Serie A may have lagged behind the Premiership and La Liga over the past few campaigns, both in quality, and results, but everything suggests that the gap will be closed this time around.
