Before heading into Arsenal's vital Champions League third round qualifier against FC Twente, Cesc Fabregas - Arsenal's heartbeat - insists that his young guns need to play without fear...

Arsenal go into their midweek European tie with a comfortable two away goal advantage. That is little consolation though, given how poor they have been performing of late.

A draw will be enough to secure passage into the group stage of Europe's premier competition and Cesc Fabregas insists that the north London side have no reason to fear any of their potential opponents.

"We don’t have to be afraid of anyone," he is quoted by the club's official website as saying. "I think we’ve seen in the last few seasons we can beat anybody... you have to be positive. You have to believe that you can do it again - make it to the Final."

He continued: "I’ve played a few Finals now and you can see that anything can happen. You can play well, you can play not well, you can win, and lose. You have to make it there, I think we have the quality and experience to do it and we are looking forward to it."

Fabregas featured in Arsenal's final heartbreak in France in 2006 against Barcelona - the farthest Arsenal have ever gone in the competition, but insists it does not play on his mind.

"It’s the Final that I think about less... I don’t know why. Because it was the one that we played better and the one we showed more desire. We were devastated after that Final but after that game we realised Arsenal was a big club and we could compete," he said.

"We were playing the final against Barcelona with one player less in the first five or 10 minutes they didn’t come back until the last 10 minutes. It was really impressive and we were devastated, but at the same time we felt proud for the fans and for ourselves because what we did was quite amazing," he concluded
