Trouble is not over yet for the sacked officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) following the poor performance of the Super Eagles at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in South Africa as they have been arrested by the anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to answer to allegations of fraud.

Arrested are the sacked President of NFF, Sani Lulu Abdullahi and the former Vice President, Amanze Uchegbulam and former Technical Committee Chairman, Taiwo Ogunjobi.

The spokesman of the EFCC, Mr Femi Babafemi, said on Thursday in Abuja that a series of petitions had been received on their alleged recklessness with football funds, including the outright stealing of more than $300,000 cash in the NFF office.

They are also being questioned on how the 2010 FIFA World Cup money was spent, including a hotel scam in Durban, South Africa, where about $120,000 was lost.

They are also to account for the $5 million FIFA and donor funds which had been spent secretly without transparency.

Nigeria has set up a 12-member team to restructure football.
